Job summary

Sugar Cane Growers Cooperative of Florida is seeking a Laboratory Technician II for our Belle Glade, FL facility to perform a range of laboratory tests on sugar products and to help ensure product quality. You will prepare samples, operate analytical equipment, maintain records, and contribute to method development while upholding safety and compliance.

Requirements include an Associate degree in chemistry or a related field and 1–3 years of lab experience; bilingual English/Spanish preferred;

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of laboratory analysis experience
• Associate degree in chemistry or related field
• Strong knowledge of sugar chemistry and analysis techniques
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Must pass drug test and background check

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory analysis of sugar products to meet quality standards.
• Test for purity, moisture content, and other properties.
• Develop and implement new testing methods.
• Maintain equipment and records; ensure safety compliance.
• Train and mentor new laboratory analysts.
• Cover Chemical Analyst III functions as needed.
