GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Research Helper assists the Research Technician with research projects related to agriculture. They may work in a laboratory, field, or greenhouse setting, and their duties may vary depending on the research project.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with collecting and preparing samples.
• Assist with conducting experiments, such as planting crops or applying pesticides.
• Assist with collecting and recording data using a variety of methods.
• Performs other related projects and assignments as business dictates.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals.
• Ability to perform physical tasks in a laboratory, field, or greenhouse setting, which may involve standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

LICENSES REQUIRED

Regular Class "E" Driver's License

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with laboratory and/or field research.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Regular attendance is required during scheduled shifts.
• Sitting, walking, standing, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and reaching
• Lifting occasionally up to 25 pounds.
