Job summary

Sugar Cane Growers Cooperative of Florida seeks a Clarification Operator Assistant to assist in producing high-quality sugar by extracting and purifying juice from sugar cane. The role involves operating and maintaining juice clarification and heating equipment as part of a team, with shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

The position emphasizes safety, adherence to procedures, and collaboration with maintenance and supervisors to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience operating and maintaining industrial equipment; or equivalent combination of experience, certification and training.
• Experience in juice clarification and filtration preferred.
• Bilingual – English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains juice heaters and related equipment during crop season.
• Assists with quality checks on juice to ensure standards; adjusts equipment as needed.
• Assists with routine maintenance and minor repairs on clarification and heating equipment; reports issues to maintenance.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area.
• Works with team to achieve project goals and follow PPE guidelines.
• Follows safety policies and reports hazards.
