Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform utility locating and designating using various devices including Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)
• Select and maintain traffic signage and follow safety protocols
• Operate and maintain vacuum excavation trucks and related equipment
• Designate/locate underground utilities, interpret as-built drawings, create field sketches, and research records
• Supervise crews, hold safety meetings, and create corrective action plans for hazards
• Follow instructions, mentor crews, and demonstrate leadership skills
• Possess mechanical aptitude and perform some equipment maintenance
• Maintain a valid driver's license and obtain a DOT Medical card; CDL is a plus
• Lift up to 50 pounds, work in all weather conditions, and be willing to travel

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 4-8 years of utility locating or designating experience
• Pre-employment drug screening and background checks required

• Participate in cross-training and communicate effectively
• Follow policies, accurately report work, and adhere to safety standards
• Complete tasks per industry standards and project requirements
• Maintain certifications and participate in training
