Duties, Responsibilities & Other

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Target candidate may be required to operate and maintain a vacuum excavation truck and related equipment safely and efficiently
  • Possess the ability to designate/locate a variety of underground utilities, create legible field sketches, simple mathematics, field measurements, document daily activities, and perform records research.
  • This position is similar to a utility locator or utility designator and requires minimum of 2 years of utility locating or designating using many types of pipe and cable locating devices
  • Experience with Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) is preferred
  • Understanding basic traffic control and the hazards associated with working in and around traffic and follow safety precautions
  • Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Surveying, CADD, and vacuum excavation truck experience a plus.
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities are the basic job functions that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications

Education and/or Skills Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Highschool Diploma/GED
Certificates, Licenses, And/or Registrations Required
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to maintain required certifications.
  • Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
