Job summary

Blew & Associates, P.A. is seeking a Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Technician to join our field operations team. You will work on projects detecting and mapping underground utilities, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

You'll gain hands-on training and access to cutting-edge SUE technology, including GPR and utility location tools, to become proficient in field investigations and data collection for construction projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical education is a plus.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new SUE technologies and processes.
• Previous experience in construction, electrical, plumbing and/or hydro-vac is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations using SUE equipment.
• Map and document underground utilities for construction projects.
• Collaborate with professionals to ensure accuracy and efficiency in operations.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance SUE skills.
• Maintain a positive, proactive attitude across varying work environments.
• Operate GPR, electromagnetic locators and RTK GPS as needed.
