Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a SUE Party Chief to join the Underground Utilities, Land Surveying, and Mapping team in Pittsburgh, PA. The role involves supervising field crews, conducting investigations, and coordinating with project managers and utility representatives.

Responsibilities include field operations, planning, safety training, and accurate reporting. Travel is required; immigration sponsorship is not provided except TN visa eligibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience leading SUE field crews.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of SUE technicians.
• Assigns and monitors work, and provides input for evaluation of field staff.
• Conduct field investigations and locate utilities.
• Operate vacuum excavation and other locating equipment.
• Interpret roadway and utility plans and record drawings.
• Travel as required and participate in project meetings.
