Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design seeks an SUE Intern in Denver, CO, offering part-time in Fall 2026/Spring 2027 or full-time in Summer 2027. As an intern, you’ll work with engineers, CAD staff, surveyors, and field crews, gaining exposure to ASCE 38-22 practices and Colorado requirements, while benefiting from a structured

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Surveying, Construction Engineering, or related field.
• Interest in utilities, infrastructure, surveying, construction, or subsurface investigation.
• Basic AutoCAD experience preferred.
• Civil 3D experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation of SUE drawings and deliverables using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Assist with processing and reviewing field-collected utility and survey data.
• Work with engineers, CAD staff, surveyors, and field crews to document existing underground utilities.
• Assist with utility records research, data reduction, field note review, calculations, and quality checks.
• Read and interpret engineering plans, utility plans, surveys, and project specifications.
