Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a SUE Technician to perform subsurface utility investigations in Atlanta, GA.

The role requires locating underground utilities using GPR and electromagnetic locators, and preparing field sketches and as-built data. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of SUE experience, reads construction plans, and is able to travel to job sites while maintaining safety and accuracy in reporting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in SUE or utility locating.
• Ability to read construction and utility plans.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform subsurface utility investigations using GPR, EM locators, and vacuum excavation techniques.
• Locate and identify underground utilities, such as gas, electric, water, and telecommunications lines.
• Prepare and interpret field sketches, utility drawings, and as-built data.
• Work with project managers, engineers, and field staff to ensure accurate reporting and safe excavation practices.
• Ensure all work complies with safety protocols and industry standards.
• Assist with the preparation of reports, deliverables, and field notes.
• Maintain equipment and vehicles in a clean and functional condition.
