Loureiro Engineering Associates is seeking a SUE Crew Chief to lead a utility locating crew and perform designation and marking services for projects in the Northeast. The ideal candidate will be based in Central Connecticut or the Boston area, and will collaborate with our survey team to support design and upgrade of utility infrastructure.

Overview

Loureiro Engineering Associates is currently seeking a SUE Crew Chiefto support the continued growth of our Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) division.The ideal candidate will be based inCentral Connecticut or the Boston, Massachusetts area. This position plays a key role in field operations by leading a utility locating crew and performing utility designating and marking services for both large and small-scale projects. The SUE team works closely with our Land Survey group to support the design and upgrade of utility infrastructure for some of the largest utility companies in the Northeast.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with utility locating operations

• Ensure adherence to company and client safety protocols

What You Bring

• 1–3 years of experience in utility locating

• Thorough understanding of subsurface utilities

• Valid U.S. driver’s license and authorization to work in the U.S.

• Ability to pass a drug test

• Willingness to travel as needed

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods working outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and carry equipment across uneven terrain

• Physical ability to walk 3–5 miles per day

• Adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment
