Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Survey Technician to support office and field staff by processing data and delivering final land surveying deliverables. You will report to the Project Manager and perform technical tasks using the latest A/E/C technologies.

You will help increase project efficiency and client satisfaction by adhering to SAM standards and QA/QC practices. Required are at least one year of relevant experience, strong computer skills, AutoCAD Civil 3D

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of relevant experience required.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D is required; MicroStation or Revit is a plus.
• Proficiency in technical math; geometry and trigonometry are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Processing data utilizing SAM standards and evaluating accuracy and sufficiency.
• Monitoring field crew production and quality assurance.
• Carrying out initial QC of field deliverables according to standards.
• Coordinating with supervisor to meet client-specific demands.

Your Impact at SAM

As a Survey Technician, you will support office and field staff by processing incoming information and producing final land surveying project deliverables. You will report to the Project Manager and perform technical tasks utilizing the latest technology in the A/E/C industry. You will help increase land survey project efficiency and client satisfaction by:

• Processing data utilizing SAM standards, including the evaluation of accuracy and sufficiency, all while ensuring compliance to applicable land survey project and industry principles under the direction of your supervisor
• Monitoring field crew's production and quality assurance
• Carrying out initial QC of field deliverables according to standards and best practices
• Coordinating with supervisor to ensure client-specific demands are being met

What You Bring to SAM

• Minimum of one year of relevant experience required
• Strong computer and technical skills; AutoCAD Civil 3D is required; MicroStation, Revit or similar application is a plus
• Proficiency in technical math; Geometry and Trigonometry are a plus
