Job summary

All In Solutions is seeking an experienced VOB Specialist to verify insurance eligibility and benefits for substance use disorders and mental health treatment. You will support admissions by confirming coverage and obtaining necessary authorizations, ensuring accurate communication with clinical teams.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of specifically Behavioral Health/Substance Abuse VOB experience is required.
• Deep understanding of behavioral health terminology (e.g., ASAM levels of care, carve-outs, sober living riders).
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT/HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding related to behavioral health.
• Understanding of HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulations.

Responsibilities

• Verify eligibility and benefits specifically for Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and Mental Health, including coverage for various Levels of Care (Detox, PHP, IOP, OP).
• Accurately determine deductibles, out-of-pocket maximums, and co-insurance to calculate patient financial responsibility prior to admission.
• Manage a high volume of time-sensitive admissions requests, communicating clearly with Admissions and Clinical teams.
• Navigate provider portals and conduct phone verifications for major commercial and government payers in CA, NJ, and FL.
• Collaborate with Utilization Review (UR) to ensure all pre-certification requirements are met for incoming clients.
• Document all interactions precisely in Kipu and Salesforce.
