Job description

SUD Licensed Mental Health Therapist | Telehealth Address New Jersey, USA Compensation $70.00 - $125.00/hour

Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) - SUD Telehealth Program

Brightside is a leading tech-enabled healthcare company. We are looking to hire licensed professional counselors, licensed clinical social workers, or licensed marriage and family therapists for our Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Substance Use Disorder program. This program caters to the distinctive needs of individual adults, incorporating both 1:1 and group therapy. Our therapeutic approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, prioritizing personalized and culturally responsive care. At Brightside Health we've consistently prioritized research to measure the success of our programs, underscoring our commitment to delivering high-quality care backed by science.

This position involves managing a caseload of individual sessions and could eventually involve leading an evening group in Outpatient & Intensive Outpatient Programs.

We firmly believe in extending care to those who need it most, encompassing individuals facing an elevated risk of suicide, and individual adults struggling with substance use disorders. If you are eager to continue making a significant impact in the evolving landscape of mental health services, just look below. We hope to have you join our team and play a role in shaping the future of comprehensive and compassionate care.

What We’re Looking For:

  • LPC, LMFT, or LCSW independent license is required
  • Licensed independently as a Therapist, Counselor, or Psychologist for at least 1 year
  • Preferably 2 years of recent experience providing cognitive behavioral therapy and other evidence-based interventions to individual adults struggling with SUDs, including experience leading groups.
  • Availability to provide a minimum of 6 hours weekly; open Monday-Sunday with no weekend requirements
  • Must welcome treating all backgrounds and be committed to delivering culturally responsive care
  • Tech-savviness and enthusiasm for integrating digital solutions into clinical practice

Your Role as a Substance Use Disorder Therapist at Brightside Health:

  • Provide structured, effective, and developmentally appropriate individual and group therapy treatment within the Substance Use Disorder Therapy program.
  • Collaborate with fellow therapists and clinical leadership to address the unique needs of clients. Case consultation meetings are not mandatory, but we offer them for your clinical support.
  • Maintain timely clinical documentation through our user-friendly, reliable Salesforce EHR.
  • Collaborate with Brightside psychiatric providers to support comprehensive treatment and with fellow therapists as part of the growing therapist community.

What You’ll Gain:

  • Unprecedented impact: Contribute to creating access to quality mental health care for individual adults struggling with a SUD.
  • Clinical support: Receive enhanced clinical support through weekly dedicated SUD program live drop-in consultation sessions with leadership.
  • Care coordination support: You will receive care coordination support specifically for our SUD program members who are not appropriate for the platform and require referral to different levels of care.
  • Professional growth opportunities: You will receive free monthly continuing education training (CEUs).
  • Custom-built tools: Enjoy our easy-to-use electronic medical record (EMR) integrated with treatment software, assessment tools, progress monitoring, and crisis protocols for streamlined documentation and efficient, effective care.
  • Billing support: Our therapist and client support teams handle all the billing so you can focus on providing care.
  • Operational support: Our operational support teams provide clinical drop-in hours, IT support, member account/insurance support, and more.
  • No on-call work; you are not expected to be available 24/7 to your clients.
  • Free monthly CEUs.
  • Malpractice coverage.
  • Health Insurance personalized plan recommendations through Stride Health partnership.

We know that diversity makes for the best problem-solving and creative thinking, and are committed to equity and inclusion. We are dedicated to adding new perspectives to the team and encourage everyone to apply if their experience is close to what we are looking for. We’re an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against candidates or patients based on race, color, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, religion, disability, national origin, protected veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
