Job summary

HealthRIGHT 360 is seeking a SUD Counselor I to join our interdisciplinary team in San Mateo, CA. This role focuses on delivering individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and case management to support clients’ health and recovery within a social model treatment milieu.

The position requires conducting assessments, delivering curricula, and coordinating with internal/external resources. Weekend work is required as needed, with union-eligible employment and a swing shift from 2:30 PM

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in health and human services, social work, psychology, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group counseling sessions and teach classes.
• Perform crisis intervention and communicate with the treatment team.
• Document all sessions within 24–72 hours per contract.
• Link clients to internal and external resources as needed.
• Assist with discharge paperwork and program assessments.
