Darke County Recovery Services DBA Recovery and Wellness Centers of Midwest Ohio seeks a licensed substance abuse counselor to provide primary treatment for individuals with chemical dependency. You will document in CareLogic and communicate rights, confidentiality, and payment expectations with clients.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and licensure eligibility, with potential supervision duties and participation in program improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in substance abuse treatment or 5 years sobriety in a therapeutic environment.
• Willingness to pursue licensure supervision if required.
• Maintain current credentials and notify HR when new licenses are obtained.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide primary treatment for persons affected by chemical dependency.
• Inform clients of confidentiality limits, rights, and payment expectations.
• Perform diagnostic, treatment planning, and substance abuse treatment services.
• Coordinate interventions and maintain documentation within 24 hours.
• Integrate services and/or make referrals to appropriate professionals or outside agencies.
• Participate in program needs assessment and performance improvement activities.
• May supervise interns in professional training.
• Adhere to confidentiality and PHI rules.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
• Assist with related duties to augment agency functioning.

We also value quality communication skills in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary and often multi-agency service environment.Responsibilities· The counselor will provide primary treatment for persons affected by the disease of chemical dependency· Informs clients of limits to confidentiality, rights regarding services delivered, and payment expectations· Performs specialized diagnostic, treatment planning, and substance abuse treatment services in collaboration with clients· Coordinates interventions· Maintains efficient documentation, completed within 24 hours of the service provided.· Integrates services and/or make referrals to appropriate professionals or outside agencies as indicated· Participates in the assessment of program needs and peer review, as well as cooperate with performance improvement objectives· May supervise interns in professional training or graduate level unlicensed counselors.· Complies with confidentiality and protected health information rules.· Attends staff meetings, in-services, case conferences, etc. as scheduled· Performs other related duties as assigned including support activities as needed to augment functioning of the agency· Collaborates in maintaining clean, safe workplace, including maintenance of CPR/First Aid skills and aggressive client management skills (TAPS or equivalent)· May be called to work at other locations.· Other duties as assignedProductivity Expectation: 100%+Required Credentials and Skills· Demonstrated 2 years experience in substance abuse treatment or equivalent behavior healthcare treatment or 5 years sobriety in a therapeutic environment· Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent with the ability to become certified upon hiring· Acceptable credentialing (LICDC, CCDC-II, CCDC-I, CDCA, LCDC-II, LCDC-III, LISW)· Must be willing to provide licensure supervision if licensure includes training supervision designation· Maintains current credentials, and notifies HR when new license is received.· Good oral & written communication skills· Competency in areas prerequisite for performing activities noted above.· Displays good customer service skills with clients and public at large.· Utilizes computer well enough to perform clinical documentation in CareLogic directly, as well as generate written communication in WORD or via email.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
