Job summary

Subway is seeking a Manager to focus on guest experience, food quality, cleanliness, inventory and money control, and local marketing initiatives. The role includes recruiting staff, enforcing safety standards and working as part of a cohesive team.

Essential prerequisites include at least 2 years in a restaurant setting with supervisory experience, and strong communication and computer skills. Training will be provided for day/evening/weekend shifts at various locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a restaurant environment, with supervising and training staff.
• Excellent communicator able to work with all levels of team.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to analyze basic records.

Job description

As part of the Subway Team, you as a Manager will focus on eight main things:

• Providing an excellent guest experience
• Ensuring that great food is prepared & served
• Keeping our restaurants functional, clean and beautiful
• Managing inventory and money control systems
• Coordinating local marketing initiatives, including community outreach
• Recruiting staff
• Maintaining standards of restaurant safety and security
• Being a team player

In addition to the role of a Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Recruiting and rewarding outstanding Team members
• Ensuring safety and security protocols are followed. Including being aware of local and national healthy and food safety codes
• Maintaining business records and analyzing them to help increase sales
• Identifying and contacting prospective Guests to promote sales
• Supporting local and national marketing initiatives, ensuring restaurant is ready on every level for the beginning of a new marketing window
• Planning special events and promotions

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred

Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a restaurant environment, experience in supervising and training staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is essential.

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
