Job summary

The role requires physical outdoor work, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and strict adherence to safety protocols, ASCE 38-22 standards, and project procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding field work.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) investigations, including electromagnetic locating, GPR, utility tracing, marking, and data collection.
• Support Quality Level Investigations (QL-D through QL-A) and verify utility locations per ASCE 38-22 standards.
• Assist with surveying activities, including topographic surveys, construction layout, as-built surveys, boundary surveys, leveling, traversing, and profile/cross-section surveys.
• Maintain SUE and survey equipment through cleaning, calibration, and preventive maintenance.
• Prepare and organize field equipment and vehicles for daily operations.
• Record accurate field notes and documentation following procedures and quality standards.
• Perform physical field tasks such as line clearing, setting monuments, locating underground utilities, and pounding stakes.
• Adhere to company and site-specific health and safety requirements.
• Communicate effectively with Crew Chiefs, Project teams.
