Who are we?

Since 1993, T2 Utility Engineers has provided professional Subsurface Utility Engineering and surveying services supporting infrastructure projects of all sizes. Using advanced technologies, our team of field technicians, engineers, and surveyors provides quality data and insights to help clients visualize, plan, and design their projects. Responsibilities of SUE Technician II include, but are not limited to:

1. Operate SUE utility locating and designating equipment, including pipe and cable locators, GPR, and vacuum excavation tools.
2. Complete detailed, accurate reports, forms, and field sketches electronically and by hand.
3. Use tools and equipment for utility investigations, such as jackhammers, pogo-tamper, concrete saws, compressors, vacuum hoses, air lances, and hand tools.
4. Drive commercial motor vehicles (a CDL is not required).
5. Set up and maintain safety and traffic control under supervision.
6. Assist with survey and data collection tasks.
7. Perform routine maintenance of equipment and vehicles.

Qualifications for Tech II:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4+ years of experience in utility locating or as a SUE Field Tech.
• Ability to interpret utility prints and plans.
• Valid driver’s license with a good record.
• Ability to pass a physical and obtain a DOT medical card (U.S. only).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all climates and travel up to 50%.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• OSHA safety certifications are a plus.
