CES Group Engineers, LLP in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced SUE Analyst to join our subsurface utility engineering team. You will lead field crews, supervise data collection, ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery while coordinating with project managers.

The role requires reading construction plans, operating geophysical equipment (GPR, vacuum excavation, and related tools), and delivering accurate information to CAD technicians for upload and design integration.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of SUE engineering experience.
• Experience with SUE and Geomatics equipment.
• Read construction plans/blueprints.
• Strong oral and written communication.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Background check and drug test required.
• Detail-oriented team player who adapts and analyzes.

CES Group Engineers (CES) seeks an experienced SUE Analyst to join our growing team in the Charlotte, NC area.

Responsibilities:

• Advanced understanding and knowledge of subsurface utility engineering
• Supervise and oversight of the field crew
• Ensure quality and safe work, with accuracy and thoroughness
• Ability to meet schedules and deadlines and work well with Project Manager
• Operate geophysical equipment to accurately and efficiently collect field data, locate utility system features, maintain records and deliver information to CAD techs
• Organizing, prioritizing tasks, and satisfying budget and schedule constraints
• Perform assignments as the leader of a two (2) or three (3) person crew, or independently, following established safety procedures, while protecting and maintaining equipment and vehicle
• Drive to project sites, walking outside, lifting equipment, work in varying terrains and weather conditions

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Three (3) to five (5) years or more of subsurface utility engineering experience is required, including demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with current SUE and Geomatics equipment
• Experience with Heath, Radio Detection, and Vivax equipment, GPRs, and Vacuum Excavation
• Ability to read construction plans/blueprints
• A detail-oriented team player, who enjoys methodical problem solving, combining accuracy and precision with positive behavior traits, such as being trustworthy, well-organized, adaptable and analytical
• Good oral and written communication skills
• A valid driver’s license and good driving record are required
• A background check and drug test will be required as a condition of employment
