Job summary

Penhall Company is seeking a Subsurface Analyst to join our team of field specialists responsible for identifying and designating underground utilities and structural embeds within concrete structures. You will perform non-destructive investigations using GPR and other scanning tools to support safe excavation and construction activities.

The role requires accurate data collection, clear field documentation, and the ability to communicate results and recommendations to clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• OSHA 10/30 cert preferred (may be obtained after hire).
• Technical training in GPR, NDT, or construction scanning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform investigative scanning on commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sites.
• Collect and analyze field data to designate structural embeds (rebar, conduits, cables).
• Locate underground utilities (sewer, water, gas, electrical).
• Travel as required for training and service support.
• Mark scanned areas per Penhall marking protocol.
• Document field results with reports, sketches, photos.
• Review project scope with site personnel before work.
