Saint Patrick Catholic School in Norfolk, Virginia, seeks a Substitute Teacher for PreK–8th grade. This part-time, non-exempt role supports the Faculty, fills in when regular teachers are absent, and aligns with Catholic school values.

• Perform other duties as directed by school administration.

Overview

Saint Patrick Catholic School, located in Norfolk, Virginia, is an independent Catholic school with an enrollment of approximately 400 students in grades pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. • Knowledge of child development, content expertise, and curriculum and policies; commitment to the belief that all students can learn characterized by appropriate management strategies that meet the needs of students; and instructional techniques that integrate reading, writing, math, faith, and technology throughout the content areas
• Experience with classroom management
• Ability to transition from task to task easily
• Effectively communicate with students and staff
• Committed to serving as a role model for students
• Experience teaching or working with digital technologies in the classroom is a plus

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher in the applicable field of education (preferred)
