Meeting Street is currently looking for Substitute Teachers for Grace and Carter Schools.

Duties:

  1. Assists in the development, implementation, and revision of a standards-based curriculum that promotes active learning by providing a variety of developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
  2. Develops lesson plans, progress reports, and individual learning plans within specified timelines as directed.
  3. Creates a learning environment where the children are stimulated and motivated to work to their best potential.
  4. Designs and implements appropriate academic and social goals for all students.
  5. Facilitates interactions among children that provide opportunities for emotional, social, and cognitive growth.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in General Education and Special Education with valid certification from RIDE.
  2. A minimum of one year teaching experience, with prior experience working with children with and without disabilities in an inclusive environment preferred.
  3. Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  4. The hours when scheduled to work are Monday through Friday from 7:45AM to 3:15PM.
