Job summary

Williston Trinity Christian School (WTCS) in Williston, ND is seeking a substitute teacher to provide classroom instruction in the absence of the regular teacher. You will maintain a safe, engaging learning environment and uphold Christian values as outlined in the lesson plans.

Responsibilities include implementing provided plans, supervising students in various settings, reporting incidents, and leaving a written summary for the returning teacher.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• College coursework or a degree in education or related field is a plus.
• ND Interim Substitution License is preferred for the role.
• ND Substitution License (or ability to obtain) preferred.

• Accepts and upholds the Statement of Faith of WTCS.
• Have a verifiable history of living and modeling Christian character in both personal and professional life, serving as a Christian role model first to family and friends and then to students, parents, and fellow faculty and staff members in regard to personal judgment, dignity, and Christian living, expressed in passages such as Ephesians 5:21-23; Colossians 3:12-17; and 2 Peter 1:1-10.
• Individual's life in Christ must continue to be faithfully pursued in and out of the workplace as a condition of continuing in this ministry leadership position.
• Willing to submit to the authority of those who have oversight of the school (1 Peter 2:9-20), and to fully cooperate with these authorities and adhere to the policies adopted by the School Board in both letter and intent.

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior classroom or childcare experience preferred.
• College coursework or a degree in education or related field is a plus.
