Job description

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $16.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application)

This temporary position will be assigned to the NC Department of Public Safety, Juvenile Justice Division. The individual in this role will spend time covering classes and/or assisting teachers in specific subject areas, preparing instructional materials, coordinating classroom activities, and following lesson plans. Responsibilities may include assisting with lesson plans, providing classroom instruction, facilitating online classes and HiSET coursework, and recording behavior and academic progress notes. This position will work collaboratively with subject matter teachers to provide instructional services to students. The candidate will provide student feedback through progress notes. Work hours are 7:30 am until 3:30 pm.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience working with students in an educational environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
