An established independent school is seeking substitute teachers to provide on-call support for Grades 1-8. Da Vinci Waldorf School is an independent, private school established in 1998 serving over 100 students and their community. We offer a complete curriculum from Pre-K to Grade Eight. Our educational experience includes foreign language, farming and gardening, handwork, practical arts, instrumental and choral music, movement, and student support programs.
Substitute teachers work on a flexible schedule and may be notified the morning of the school day or the evening prior.
Grades Substitute Teachers are provided with lessons or activities normally led by the main class teacher or subject teacher. Responsibilities may include tracking attendance, administering quizzes, explaining assignments, collecting homework, and providing general supervision during class periods. The grades Substitute Teacher will work with students in a group or individually based on need.
Ideal candidates for the substitute teaching position will possess the following skills and qualifications:
Compensation: Substitute teachers are part-time, hourly employees, paid between $18-$35/hour or daily rate based on program serving.
