Child Care Resources Inc is seeking a substitute teacher for our outdoor-focused preschool program serving ages 2–5. Flexible hours include full days, mornings or afternoons as needed to cover regular shifts.

The role emphasizes connecting with children and adults, reading to children, crafts, and play, while supporting development across cognitive, social, emotional, and physical domains.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development in 2- to 5-year-olds.
• Experience in early childhood education preferred.
• Ability to read books and engage children in crafts.
• Desire to be outdoors in all weather.
• Must complete state licensing training within 90 days.
• Must pass background check and health screening

Job description

This is for a substitute teaching role with variable hours each week and variable shifts: full days (9-4), morning (8-12), or afternoon shifts (12-4) as needed - to help cover teachers regular shifts.Must have knowledge and passion for working with young children (2-5 years old) and value being outdoors.Relationships are of the utmost importance and we're looking for someone who can connect and communicate effectively with children, and adults. If you like to read books to children, work on small crafts, or just play with kids - this is a great role for you!Teachers must understand children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. Old School is a nature-based preschool with the goal of playing and learning outdoors.

What You'll Do

• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.


• An understanding of child development.


• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.


• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.


• Undergo state licensing training for Child Development within 90 days


• Complete mandated reporter training within 30 days
