Job summary

ESS is seeking qualified substitute teachers for Wilkes-Barre Area Schools in Luzerne County. Earn up to $155 per day with appropriate credentials, and help provide consistent instruction when regular teachers are absent.

Responsibilities include delivering lessons, following lesson plans, maintaining a safe classroom, and reporting student issues to administration. Applicants must meet Act 86 credentials and complete required clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and PA teaching credential or Act 86-qualified major.
• Clearances and trainings as listed in qualifications.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and maintain classroom routines.

Responsibilities

• Provide meaningful instruction to students in assigned classrooms while regular teacher is absent
• Review and implement regular teacher's routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives
• Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment
• Report any student injuries, illness, and serious discipline problems to school administration
• Perform other duties as directed by school administration
