Job summary

Scoot Education is seeking dedicated substitutes to supervise and support students across classroom, playground, and cafeteria settings in California. This role focuses on maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment and on promoting student engagement throughout the day.

You’ll work as a W-2 employee with hourly pay, complete state and federal background checks, and coordinate with teachers and school staff to follow lesson plans and provide timely notes for the returning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree or college credits.
• Three professional references, including at least one from a previous supervisor.
• State & federal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students in the classroom, playground, or cafeteria
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. Encourage student engagement and participation throughout the day
• Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions, following any lesson plans left by the teacher
• Communicate clearly with school staff
• Leave brief notes or feedback for the returning teacher
