Job summary

LLE Education Group is seeking enthusiastic on-call Substitute Teachers for our Child Care centers in Virginia. This hourly, on-demand role covers key positions and requires a background check and licensing standards compliance.

Flexible hours are available across multiple districts, with competitive pay rates of $16.00–$20.00 per hour. As a substitute, you will travel within the district to cover shifts, assist in lesson planning, and support children through learning, meals, and rest.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience in a related role for a licensed childcare or educational facility.
• Ability to meet Virginia licensing standards and pass a background check.
• Willingness to work flexible hours based on program needs.

Responsibilities

• Travel and cover positions within assigned districts.
• Create and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to students.
• Support children through learning, play, meals, and rest.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inspiring classroom environment.
• Collaborate with team to develop creative curriculum ideas.
• Communicate with families daily through apps and updates.
• Cover lunch, breaks, and other duties as assigned.

Education

CDA/ECE certificate & related coursework

Position information:

• This is an hourly position that is on demand with competitive pay
• Substitutes will be scheduled for all shifts Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30 am to 6:00 pm or 6:00 am to 6:30 pm
• This position reports to the Center Director
• This position has no supervisory responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• Ability to travel and cover positions within the district (Stafford, Triangle, Woodbridge, Lorton, Dale City)
• Create and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to students
• Support children through learning, play, meals, and rest
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inspiring classroom environment
• Collaborate with your team to develop creative curriculum ideas
• Communicate with families daily through mobile apps and personal updates
• Cover lunch, breaks, and other duties as assigned

What You Bring:

• CDA, ECE certificate, associate's or bachelor's degree in ECE or related field or equivalent coursework (preferred- High School Diploma or equivalent Required)
• Minimum 6 months of experience in a related role for a licensed childcare or educational facility required
• Ability to meet Virginia licensing standards and pass a background check
• Willingness to work flexible hours based on program needs

Compensation:

• The hourly rate for these positions is between $16.00 - $20.00 per hour.
• The pay range listed here is what LLE Group in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening.
• Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
