Job summary

TMSA Public Charter Schools is seeking a Substitute Teacher for the Cary campus (K-7) to cover classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher. Responsibilities include following lesson plans, maintaining classroom order, and attending to attendance records.

The role requires at least two years of college or an Associate’s Degree, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred and prior school experience encouraged. This on-site position supports a collaborative school community in Cary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of college (60 semester hours) or Associate’s Degree.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred.
• Previous school/classroom experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of all student, parent, and staff information.
• Sign in and out daily in the main office.
• Use the timesheet within Frontline for monthly payment.
• Maintain a safe learning environment and an orderly classroom.
• Follow the provided lesson plans.
• Take accurate student attendance.
• Perform other duties during non-teaching time as instructed by an administrator or administrative assistant other than during the scheduled lunch period.
• Leave a note with any necessary information for the teacher when he/she returns to the classroom.
• Other duties, as assigned by supervisor/administrator.
