Easterseals Florida is seeking a Substitute Teacher Assistant for The School for Limitless Learning. This as-needed role supports during staff absence and high client census, in a play-based, inclusive setting for neurodiverse children.

The role emphasizes assisting with curriculum, ensuring a safe, engaging environment, and collaborating with lead educators to communicate with families. The position details emphasize Florida credentials and CPR/First Aid.

Qualifications

• National Early Childhood Credential (CDA/NECC) required.
• Successful completion of the Florida Department of Children & Families 45-hour Child Care Training in early childhood education.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive, safe, stimulating, and inclusionary learning environment.
• Assist in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
• Assist in recognizing, adapting teaching strategies, and addressing the individual needs of each child.
• Collaborate with the lead educator to maintain open and effective communication with parents and families.

Job description

Salary will be $17.50 per hour

This is an as-needed position (not a full time position) to fill in during staff absence, staff vacations, and in times of high client census.

Work hours will be scheduled between 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday (on an as-needed basis)

The Substitute Teacher Assistant fills in during staff absence, staff vacations, and in times of high client census.
