Job summary

The Lodi Public School District is seeking certified substitute teachers for the 2026-27 school year to fill per diem roles at Lincoln School.

Responsibilities include carrying out the substitute lesson plans, maintaining a positive learning environment, and supporting students across grade levels. A Substitute Teacher Certificate and eligibility for NJ teaching credentials are required. Pay is $153 per day.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Substitute Teacher Certificate.
• Minimum of 60 college credits or 30 credits with current college enrollment.
• NJ Teaching Certificate CE, CEAS, or Standard is required/expected.

Responsibilities

• Carry out classroom teacher duties as per substitute lesson plans.
• Create a positive learning environment and manage student behavior.
• Provide instruction according to the teacher's substitute plans.

• Ensure adherence to school policies and philosophy while substituting.

Employment Terms

Per Diem Position; as needed position

Responsibilities

• Carry out the duties of the classroom teacher as outlined in the lesson plans, manage student classroom behavior and enforce school rules and policies in the absence of the classroom teacher. This includes:
• Creating a positive learning environment
• Providing instruction to students by following the teacher's substitute lesson plans
• Building positive relationship with students and faculty
• Motivating students to learn and participate in the daily lessons
• Demonstrating a familiarity with school, philosophy, program and policies.

Qualifications

• Substitute Teacher Certificate
• To be eligible for a substitute certificate the applicant must have a minimum of 60 college credits or 30 college credits and currently enrolled in a college program.
• NJ Teaching Certificate (CE, CEAS, or Standard)

Work Hours

• Elementary School: 8:25 am to 3:05 pm
• Middle School: 8:25 am to 3:05 pm
• High School: 8:00 am to 2:40 pm
