Position Overview

Forsyth School seeks creative and nurturing substitute teachers who can instruct and lead student learning in the absence of a regular teacher and in accordance with the goals, directives, and curriculum of Forsyth School. This position is ideal for retired teachers and those just beginning their career in teaching who wish to gain more classroom experience with children in an elementary school setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide meaningful instruction to students in assigned classrooms while regular teacher is absent
  • Review and implement regular teacher's routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives
  • Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment
  • Perform other duties as directed by school administration

Salary: $18.75/hour
