Job summary

Hannah's House Academy in Tennessee seeks a dependable, energetic Childcare Educator to join our faith-based early childhood learning center. This part-time role involves stepping in for primary teachers when needed, maintaining a safe, nurturing classroom, and supporting our mission to nurture young children.

You will supervise children, communicate with parents, and help uphold licensing standards and center policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; candidates must be 18+.
• CPR certification required or willingness to obtain.
• Previous childcare experience essential; lift up to 50 lbs.
• Background check required and must pass.
• Team-oriented, dependable, punctual; supportive of faith-based mission.
• Hours vary; not guaranteed part-time or full-time.

As a dependable, energetic, and compassionate Childcare Educator, you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of these precious children.

This is a part-time position with the potential to grow into full-time as needed, and we're seeking someone who thrives in a team-oriented environment and is passionate about early childhood development.

What You'll Do

• Establish and maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that fosters children's social, emotional, and developmental growth.
• Fill-in for our primary teachers when needed.
• Provide close supervision of children at all times, ensuring their safety during classroom, playground, meal, and other activities.
• Maintain open communication with parents and staff, providing professional and positive interactions.
• Ensure adherence to state licensing guidelines and center policies, upholding the highest standards of care and quality.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of classroom spaces, creating an inviting and functional environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required, and candidates must be at least 18 years old.
• CPR Certified is a must (or willing to obtain certification).
• Previous childcare experience is essential, and candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and actively engage with young children.
• A background check is required, and candidates must pass it.
• Team-oriented, dependable, and punctual individuals are highly valued in this role.
• A passion for early childhood development is a must, and candidates should be supportive of our faith-based mission and values.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment is essential.
• It's important to note that this is not a full-time position, nor a guaranteed part-time position with a set number of hours. This position is as-need and hours may vary.**
