Job summary

New Story Schools (PA) seeks a Substitute Teacher to support students with special needs by providing consistency, care, and adaptability in diverse classrooms. You will collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to implement individualized plans, track progress, and foster an inclusive, growth-focused learning community.

You will work across classrooms, coordinating with specialists to ensure each student can grow academically, socially, and emotionally in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• PA teaching certification required (Private Academic Certificate or PA Instructional Special Education cert K-12)
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Ability to adapt to support multiple classrooms and instructional needs

Responsibilities

• Create and implement IEPs, lesson plans, and instructional strategies tailored to each student's goals
• Complete IEPs, progress reports, and required documentation accurately and on time
• Partner with parents, multidisciplinary teams, and school staff to promote student success
• Maintain a structured classroom environment using behavior management and intervention strategies
• Track student progress through evaluations, assessments, and behavioral data collection
