Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking qualified substitute teachers for a part-time, non-exempt role. Ideal candidates are active church participants with strong communication and caring demeanor, with training provided and opportunities to teach LifeWise classes as needed, following the LifeWise curriculum.

Responsibilities include implementing lesson plans, maintaining a safe classroom, recording attendance, and communicating with teachers and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes as needed.
• Implement the lesson plans using LifeWise curriculum.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain records and attendances for each class.
• Keep classroom clean and well-ordered; know emergency procedures.
• Act as LifeWise ambassador in the community and communicate plans with volunteers and teachers.

Job Description

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Maintain Records
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher
• Maintain Classroom
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Know procedures for emergency situations

• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties
