LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher to support LifeWise classes using provided curricula. The role emphasizes active church involvement, Christian faith alignment, and strong communication with teachers and volunteers.

The position is non-exempt and hourly, with responsibilities including class setup, attendance, safety, and adherence to LifeWise policies. Training is provided to ensure consistency with program standards.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsabilités

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and provide them to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom; know emergency procedures.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties; communicate with the teacher.

Overview

LifeWise substitute teachers will demonstrate excellence in Biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is caring, perceptive and proficient in teaching students.

Job Description

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
