Job summary

Westchester Day School in Mamaroneck, NY is seeking responsible Substitute Teachers to cover daytime classes for children aged 2–4 when regular teachers are absent. You will implement prepared lesson plans, supervise students, and help maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma (bachelor's preferred) and a valid substitute teaching permit or teaching certificate as required by state.

Job description

We are seeking responsible, enthusiastic, and flexible Substitute Teachers to provide instruction and support in our daycare/ preschool (ages 2-4) when regular teachers are absent. The Substitute Teacher is expected to implement lesson plans left by the classroom teacher, manage student behavior, and create a safe and positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Salary range for this role is $17.00/hour- $22.00/ hour, depending upon education and experience.
