Substitute Pay Rates

• Non-Degreed: $100
• Degreed (Bachelor): $130
• Certified: $150

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and support to students in various subjects, including literacy education and math.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of students, including those with special needs requirements.
• Follow lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure student safety at all times.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to promote student success and development.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and behavior.

Expectations

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in education or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with children, particularly in a preschool or special education setting.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and strategies for teaching students with diverse learning needs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classrooms and grade levels as needed.Valid teaching certification or substitute teaching permit.

Note: Experience or expertise in autism, tutoring, or special education is highly desirable.
