Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher to provide reliable classroom support and deliver LifeWise curriculum when needed. Ideal candidates are active church participants with clear communication and caring, student-centered teaching approaches.

You will complete substitute teacher training, implement lesson plans, maintain a safe and engaging classroom, and collaborate with teachers and volunteers to ensure consistent instruction across LifeWise programs.

Qualifications

• Must have a mature Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy's Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with the LifeWise Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom.
• Know procedures for emergencies.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties.
• Communicate with the teacher.
