Job summary

La Grande School District is seeking Substitute Teachers to join our district-wide on-call pool. On-call positions include half-day and full-day opportunities at the District Office, with start dates as needed and on-call coverage for licensed teacher absences.

Requirements: a valid Oregon Teaching License or a bachelor’s degree with the ability to obtain a Restricted Substitute Teaching License from TSPC (district sponsorship available).

Qualifications

• Valid Oregon Teaching License or bachelor's degree with ability to obtain Restricted Substitute Teaching License.
• District sponsorship available for Restricted license.
• Ability to connect with students and follow lesson plans.

Responsibilities

• Fill in for licensed teachers as needed for intermittent absences.
• On-call, half-day and full-day opportunities district-wide.
• Maintain classroom routines in absence of regular teacher.

Substitute Teacher Opportunities:

Start Date: Substitute teachers are on-call, as needed.

Requirements:

• Valid Oregon Teaching License or a bachelor's degree and the ability to obtain a Restricted Substitute Teaching License from TSPC by following the procedure located here: TSPC Licensure If applying for a Restricted Substitute Teaching License, canidates must obtain District sponsorship. Please inquire with HR for sponsorship process.
• Desire and ability to connect with students, follow lesson plans and fill in as needed for intermittent licensed teacher absences.

SALARY RANGE: $236.24 per full day, $118.12 per half day. Benefits are not provided with this position.
