Job summary

Chicago Jewish Day School (CJDS) is seeking reliable Part-Time Substitute Teachers to support classrooms from Junior Kindergarten through 8th grade. Substitutes will be called on an as-needed basis and will work with teaching teams to ensure a smooth continuation of the classroom experience during teacher absences.

Candidates should have experience with children, strong classroom management and communication skills, and the ability to follow lesson plans.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children, ideally in a classroom setting.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to follow written lesson plans and support students in staying on task.
• Flexibility and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of Hebrew or Judaism is not required.
