Job summary

Timberline Learning Center in Breckenridge, Colorado, is seeking a Substitute Teacher to support teachers on leave and promote the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child in a warm, creative setting.

You will transition between age groups (0–6), create safe, nurturing environments, and help implement daily routines and provocations. A minimum of one year with young children is required, plus reliable on-call availability.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills (oral, written, and digital).
• Growth mindset with commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Demonstrated flexibility, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills.
• Minimum one year of experience with children ages 0-6.
• Availability on an as-needed, on-call basis.
• Stable housing in Summit County or surrounding areas.
• Ability to pass comprehensive background check (fingerprinting and child abuse registry).

Responsibilities

• Provide flexible support and coverage in multiple classrooms
• Transition between age groups as needed, providing consistent and reliable support

• Maintain the aesthetics and cleanliness of classrooms and common spaces
• Support children with diaper changes/toileting, nap time routines, and during meals
• Assist teachers in the implementation of daily flow, provocations, and routines

Timberline Learning Center is a Reggio Inspired Early Learning Program in Breckenridge Colorado. We are hiring a Substitute Teacher to help support teachers on leave in the implementation of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child while providing quality care and support for all of our classrooms. Timberline Learning Center cares for children ages six weeks to six years with incredible ratios, a strong team, and an inspiring approach that embraces an Emergent Curriculum. We believe in building community within our school while partnering with the many wonderful organizations and opportunities in our community. Some of the primary responsibilities will include: Building strong partnerships with colleagues and families, recognizing and nurturing the many competencies of your students, embracing the natural world and utilizing open ended materials within the classroom.
