The Catholic Diocese of Peoria is seeking a High School Substitute Teacher for its Catholic Schools in Texas. This rewarding role involves facilitating student learning by following lesson plans set by the classroom teacher. You will create a positive learning environment while maintaining classroom standards and supporting educational goals.
Ideal candidates will hold an IL Professional Educator License or Substitute Teacher License and possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree. Familiarity with the Catholic faith is essential as you foster a supportive student atmosphere.
$135.00 Per Day
Substitute teaching in one of the Diocese of Peoria's Catholic Schools is a rewarding experience for anyone who believes in the power of education and the strength of faith.
Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum provided by the classroom teacher and creating a safe and optimal learning environment in the absence of the classroom teacher.
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal.

Uses standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copy and fax machines, and telephone.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must frequently move, stand, and lift up to 10 pounds, as well as be able to walk up and down steps several times each day and physically respond quickly in an emergency.
Successful prior teaching or substitute teacher experience preferred.
