Job summary

St. Coletta of Wisconsin is hiring a Substitute/Pool Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Jefferson, Waukesha, and Brookfield, WI. You will cross-train across areas, plan and teach recreational activities, provide daily living support, and help with transport and reporting.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend documents. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate with customers, clients, and employees.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic math operations and data interpretation.
• Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver’s license with driving record meeting standards and ability to complete training.
• Driving Requirements: Must be able to drive for work and may use personal vehicle.
• Other Skills and Abilities: De-escalation, organization, time management, interpersonal, confidentiality, sound decision making.
• Other Qualifications: Knowledge of developmental disabilities.
• Physical Demands: Typical physical requirements and lifts up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Position Title:

SUB (Substitute/Pool) Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Position Location:

Responsibilities:

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) you will cross-train between areas to be a versatile DSP! You will plan and teach recreational activities as well as activities of daily living, provide personal cares, and support community integration for adults with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will perform other duties such as transporting clients, completing and maintaining accurate reports, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Your ability to make sound decisions while handling challenging situations will be critical to your success.

Don’t have any DSP, Caregiver, or CBRF related experience? We provide all the paid classroom and on‑job training needed.

After completing our training program, you will be a CBRF certified DSP!
