Lakes Country Service Cooperative (LCSC) is seeking Substitute Special Education Paraprofessionals to join our team at Lakes Country Academy (LCA) in Alexandria, Minnesota. In this role, you will support our K-6 students with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and emotional behavioral disorders (EBD). As part of a Setting IV special education program, LCA provides individualized support, structured routines, and social skills instruction in a safe and encouraging environment. Our substitute paraprofessionals play a critical role in maintaining continuity of care and support when regular staff are absent.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom routines, academics, and behavior support
• Help implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Work collaboratively with teachers and staff in a structured, supportive environment

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent AND
• ONE of the following:
  • 60+ postsecondary credits
  • Associate's degree
  • Passing score on Paraeducator or ParaPro exam

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with students with challenging behaviors
• A positive attitude, patience, and a passion for helping students succeed

Pay:

$19.50 per hour
