Job summary

Fallbrook Union Elementary School District is seeking a Substitute Special Education Program Assistant to support students and staff across a K-8 setting in Fallbrook, California. The role requires college credits or an AA, with experience working with diverse populations and with children in educational environments.

The position offers a variable schedule (Mon–Fri) and may include materials development, both physical and digital, under the supervision of instructional staff.

Qualifications

• Must have completed the twelfth grade or equivalent.
• AA degree or have completed 48 college/university semester units or pass district proficiency test.
• Experience with diverse cultures and with children in educational/childcare settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists students with a patient, friendly attitude and provides oral support in a non-judgemental way.
• Helps instructional staff develop a variety of instructional materials.
• Assists in presenting physical and digital learning materials and instructional tasks.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
