Job summary

Douglas County School District is seeking a Substitute - Educational Assistant IV to support special education teachers and students at Silver Spruce Elementary. Responsibilities include assisting with instruction, health-related services, and clerical tasks to support daily classroom activities.

Certification in First Aid & CPR is encouraged; a High School diploma or equivalent is required. The position is open as a substitute role with variable hours and potential for ongoing assignment.

Qualifications

High School or Equivalent is required.
Supports special education students and assists with daily classroom activities.
First Aid & CPR Certification is recommended.

Responsibilities

May create and assemble instructional materials such as bulletin boards.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Documents health related services in Medicaid system for reimbursement.
Support IEP goals with students and assist with daily activities.
Maintain student records and collaborate with the special education team.
Communicate with parents and school staff as needed.
Provide clerical support for teachers; may supervise students in non-classroom settings.
May assist in some therapeutic activities.
May administer medication to students.
