Township of Union Public Schools District-Wide is seeking a Substitute School Security Officer to support campus safety across district facilities. You will monitor and enforce security protocols, assist with crowd control, and respond to emergencies as needed.

Qualified candidates provide knowledge of security measures, the ability to coordinate with staff and students, and a willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED credentials. Prior law enforcement or military experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to maintain order and handle security matters with groups/individuals.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certification willingness or possession.
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of security measures, fire prevention and crowd control.
• Ability to maintain order and to work with groups and individuals on matters of security and crisis management.
• Previous Law Enforcement, Fire Department and/or Military experience preferred.
• SORA certification preferred.
• Minimum experience as determined by the Board of Education.
• Possess or be willing to obtain CPR, First Aid, and A.E.D. certification.
• Possess a valid N.J. driver’s license.

Reports to

Manager of Safety, Security, Emergency Operations and Compliance; Building Principal; Assistant Superintendent or designee.

Rate of Pay

• $15.92 per hour.
• $38.24 per hour for candidates with law enforcement experience.
