Job summary

Township of Union Public Schools seeks a Leave Replacement School Security Officer to support district-wide safety programs and security operations. Reporting to the Manager of Safety, Security, Emergency Operations and Compliance and Building Principal, you will help maintain order and manage incidents.

Ideal candidates bring knowledge of security measures, crowd control, and crisis management, with readiness to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED certification and a NJ driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of security measures and fire prevention.
• Ability to maintain order and work with groups on security and crisis management.
• SORA certification preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required or willingness to obtain.
• NJ driver’s license required.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of security measures, fire prevention and crowd control.
• Ability to maintain order and to work with groups and individuals on matters of security and crisis management.
• Previous Law Enforcement, Fire Department and/or Military experience preferred.
• SORA certification preferred.
• Minimum experience as determined by the Board of Education.
• Possess or be willing to obtain CPR, First Aid, and A.E.D. certification.
• Possess a valid N.J. driver’s license.

Reports to:

Manager of Safety, Security, Emergency Operations and Compliance; Building Principal; Assistant Superintendent or designee.

Rate of Pay:

• $22.59 - $29.20 per hour based on experience.
• $38.24 per hour for candidates with law enforcement experience.
